Zak Taillon is a Jewish-American photographer, composer, and visual artist living and working in Portland, Maine. His recent work has been exhibited at Studio Couture Detroit, Hollywood Theater, Portland, Oregon, Mayo Street Arts Center, the Bakery Photographic Collective, and SPACE Gallery. He was the recipient of an Artist-to-Artist award and an Honorable Mention in his last two shows at Maine College of Art, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography in May of 2012. In addition to still image-making, Taillon also works with video, graphic design, printmaking, and illustration. He is also a multi-instrumentalist and independently produces and composes progressive space metal and sound design as Superorder and regularly performs live, multi-media shows.
